Yildiz (Star) Design, Antique Kilim Rug

This is an exquisitely hand-crafted antique Kilim. The earthy tones are so rustic and artsy. This rug incorporates quite a few traditional kilim motifs. The main body has a graceful tessellation of geometric forms. The central motif in this is called – Yildiz, or the star motif. This motif represents productivity, intelligence and happiness. The inner border on the edges also has another motif resembling the evil-eye motif, enclosed in an eye shape.
